A stunning woodland ceremony complete with lush PNW greenery & all locally-grown floral bounty an undoubtedly beautiful combination. I was so honored to design the florals for Sarah & Donny’s charming wedding at Carson Creek Estates, a really lovely new venue in the Lake Samish area of Bellingham. Enjoy!

Lavish PNW-inspired wedding florals
Sarah & Donn’y wedding florals were inspired by the bounty of the PNW, complete with lush greenery, vibrant, local flowers, and contrasting textures galore. I designed a cascading bridal bouquet filled with unique textures to complement Sarah’s beautifully-minimal gown, a v-neck tank top gown patterned with small lace designs. The combination of the elegant, subdued floral designs covering her entire dress and the textural, organic bouquet made for an absolutely breathtaking, organic bridal look.
We often work with floral-only design, but we do love to mix in greenery when the opportunity arises. The stunning foliages used in Sarah’s bouquet offered unique shapes, textures, and movement; from the soft white cosmos to the full, blooming roses to the few eye-catching dahlias we added in, we absolutely loved how this bouquet represented the bounty of fall in the Pacific Northwest, especially because we used all locally-grown florals.
A stunning ceremony in the trees
The enchanting ceremony in the trees has to be a favorite of mine from this past wedding season; with its magical woodland setting, PNW native trees & shrubs, sitting atop a grassy forest floor bordered by vibrant green ferns. We sought to compliment this gorgeous ceremony location with our florals and enhance it’s natural beauty, so we designed lush, organic urn arrangements to be placed on top of the wine barrels at the aisle entrance along with an asymmetrical floral installation on the arbor to hold space for Sarah & Donny as they exchanged their vows.
For their reception, we decorated the wooden tables with elegant Smilax greenery and bud vases full of organic, whimsical movement. We were very intentional about using PNW-inspired florals and greenery to add to the natural, woodland feel of this entire day, and we love how beautifully everything came together!
The beautiful couple also took advantage of the prime location of the venue & took a stroll along the shores of Larrabee State Park. We absolutely adore the way that the cascading bridal bouquet complimented the ocean backdrop so effortlessly!

About Carson Creek Estates, a Lovely New Lake Samish Wedding Venue
Carson Creek Estates is an incredibly charming, fairly new Bellingham wedding venue by Lake Samish that we wanted to share a little bit about before we wrap up today’s blog. It truly makes for the most perfect location for any couple dreaming of a woodland wedding in the middle of Bellingham’s lush forest, as it is set on 20 rural acres of land with stunning backdrops everywhere you look.
The 7,000 square-foot barn is available for use during your reception, or you can opt for an outdoor ceremony on the spacious lawn if the weather cooperates. One of the biggest benefits of getting married at Carson Creek Estates is undoubtedly the mix of flexible indoor & outdoor spaces: you won’t need to worry about Bellingham’s unpredictable weather, especially if you are planning a fall or early spring wedding!
You’ll get to enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains, a whimsical ceremony location in the middle of the lush PNW forest, a large outdoor tent, exclusive bride & groom suites, on-site parking, a fire pit for when the weather gets chilly, and a variety of outdoor furniture provided by the venue. Carson Creek Estates even offers on-site accommodations, with 5 guest rooms that can host up to 14 guests. This means you and a few of your closest guests can simply head to your respective suites at the end of the night & enjoy a cozy night’s sleep on the property, rather than having to drive to a separate location!
Carson Creek Estates wedding packages begin at $5,800 for weekdays and $7,300 for weekends (for a max of 150 guests). If you’d like a package that includes more time on the property and more overnight accommodations, opt instead for the Ultimate Dream Wedding Package, which grants you exclusive access to the estate for 3 days, an on-site rehearsal, and 3 nights of lodging for 25 guests for $12,995.
