Tanya and Adam had a stunning summer wedding at the beautiful Fall City Farms, filled with the best of July’s flowers: garden roses, queen Anne’s lace, dahlias, cosmos, smokebush, hydrangea, zinnias + summer grasses. They wanted a natural, whimsical + slightly wild feel with plenty of textural elements featuring a white, cream, honey, taupe, blush & peach color palette. These gorgeous colors and blooms for this Seattle wedding were designed and created with the intention gently invite the attendees to soften + deepen into this special moment in time, sharing the couple’s personalities and love story through flowers.
Tanya’s bridal bouquet was a favorite of the 2023 wedding season. We really focused on using textural elements as an alternative to greenery, leaning into queen Anne’s lace and phlox to achieve this while still incorporating lush blooms like these incredible “honey dijon” garden roses and “rock run Ashley” dahlias.
Floral chuppah installation & Aisle flowers
To create this arch installation and aisle flowers, we worked largely out of our cutting garden and I am always so glad to have the opportunity to showcase what is possible when working with all locally-grown blooms. Drawing on some of it’s most magical botanical treasures like smokebush, hydrangea, dahlias, zinnias + more, we were able to create this one-of-a-kind work of art with an abundance of movement and interest that really popped against the lush greenery of the Fall City Farms venue. Here too we worked with absolutely no foliage, so we designed with an eye toward layering and placing the blooms so that they would look like living sculptures.
We really love working with some unexpected floral ingredients to offer a truly unique floral experience you can’t find in a grocery store or average floral market, and the aisle flowers that wrapped around the entrance of the ceremony space included some really fine ones such as echinacea cones, mugwort, and summer grasses. This is just one of the many reasons we love to work with exclusively local blooms- these gifts from nature only exist at this exact moment in time, mirroring the unique time + place of your celebration + love.
